Beneficial Organisms

Persimilis Predatory Mite

 (Phytoseiulus persimilis)

The predator can be used in many different crops; both vegetable and ornamental, field and greenhouse.

Release:  Persimilis are released into crop on bean leaves.

Predators quickly move off to consume Two Spotted Mite.

Rate:  Approximately one pack of 10,000 predators per 200m2 to 300m2.

Hypoaspis

(Stratiolaelaps (Hypoaspis) mites)

Used to control Fungus Gnats and Western Flower Thrips.

Hypoaspis feed on eggs and larvae of pests.

Release:  1 litre of substrate contains 15,000 mites.  Hypoaspis are release by spraying substrate through

Green Lacewing

(Mallada signata).
